Title: First Things First
Author: Khalid Baig
As mentioned here, I recently decluttered my things. While I was going through my books, I read the first chapter of this book and was struck in amazement. This book was a part of my syllabus in Year 11 (8 years ago) but it was never touched in school. One of my friends read it from cover to cover and told me how amazing it is. Apparently I've half of this book before (evident through the notes and scribbles I've made) but I don't remember much, if not anything at all.
I haven't gotten very far in the book, but I genuinely love it and would love for you to read it, too.
I just love anything that centres around God and looking at the world the way that it is. I love reading, hearing and talking about things that make my relationship with God feel personal; which I feel is so important. The author can be blunt sometimes which usually isn't to my liking, but so far I'm liking this book a lot, alhamdulillah.
Here's a chapter from the book which I really appreciated and loved: Allahu Akbar.
And here's a link to articles written by the author: Food for Thought.
Enjoy ♡
Till next month, in shaa Allah.
Aisyah.
